Today we start our Number 8
I start out my countdown with my favorite song from Grease. I love Hopelessly Devoted but I'm not for sure if that counts as a love song or a lovesick song....so I'm going with this.

When we were dating Ben used to sing this song except he would substitute Lorita (my Spanish name) in for Maria.
Number 6
I've always loved Robin Hood. I've loved it since I saw the disney version. I have the one with Errol Flynn and I loved the one with Kevin Costner. I bought the soundtrack and listened to it over and over so this song had to be in my countdown.
I must say that I am having such a great time reading all the comments and all the brilliant songs you all have picked out! The ones I don't recognize I go look up on youtube. It's so much fun! I keep thinking " OH, but I LOVE that one too!" It's a good thing I already had my top 10 picked out! Oh, the memories that come flooding back with each song.

My #2 favorite is 'Return To Me' by Dean Martin. When Kevin and I were first dating, we watched the movie and immediately loved the song. It just became ours. You've got to love Dean Martin, but my heart forever belongs to Kevin Brown.

It's Two-Stepping Tuesday so how about one of my favorite country love songs-Conway Twitty's "Tight Fittin' Jeans! Just joking, that is the song I think of when I get dressed each morning! Seriously though, Tim McGraw's "My Best Friend".

ReplyDeleteOkay I was about to give you ladies a hard time about James Taylor. Then I remembered I have been to two Neil Diamond concerts and one Donnie Osmond concert, yes as an adult! I am the queen of cheese!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the name of the song but it's by Harry Conick Jr. Part of the song goes..."the man on the moon is smiling cause he's in love with a girl in the world." Too bad you can't hear me singing it. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Harry Connick Jr.'s song about the man in the moon. The kids and I sang it when we studied the stars and the moon in the fall just for the fun of it. My 3 year old is convinced SHE is the girl in the world! :)
