Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for my sweet baby girl who turned 1 this week!

We find ourselves enjoying her so much. The kids love seeing her do new things and get tickled when she comes up with a new sound or a new word. They are each anticipating the day that she says their name.

We seem to enjoy each stage so much more than we did with the others. Maybe it is because the others were all little at the same time. Now, they really are enjoying having a baby in the house and they love helping out with her.

She has a sweet, infectious laugh and the cutest little baby talk. If she can find something that makes everyone laugh, she will do it over and over and over again.

We are having the best time with her and we love her dearly.
Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Thankful Thursday

Guess who is in Dallas?

Mrs. Troop!!!

I got a babysitter (baby girl came with us) and we had a girls morning out! How fun is that!?!

So here goes my Thankful Thursday list.

1. Thankful that my husband let me get a babysitter so I could spend the day with my friend!
2. Thankful for healthy kids.
3. Thankful that my Grandpa is out of the hospital and my Grandma seems to be doing better.
4. Thankful that my kids are such great helpers.
5. Thankful for a good car with air conditioning. It's getting hot in Texas.
6. Thankful for the neighborhood pool.
7. Thankful for all the ladies that come to the Thursday night Book Club.
8. Thankful that baby girl has such good gross motor skills. Not thankful that she is pulling things out of cabinets just as fast and hard as she can... but that isn't covered under this particular list.
9. Thankful for a great Growth Group (our church's term for Sunday School) who are so very giving and so quick to respond when a need comes up.
10. Thankful for my new purse I got at Sam Moon today! (just being completely honest here) It is huge and has enough room for my normal purse stuff, plus the baby stuff, plus a diet coke and a good book. :)

Have a great Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

1. Thankful school is out! We were actually finished last week but did
some wrap up stuff this week. We are enjoying our summer so far!

2. Thankful for our neighborhood pool. It's about a 5 minute walk from our house. Come on over and go swimming with us!

3. Thankful for our Sunday School class! We co-teach with some friends and we started the class a year ago. It has now grown to 40 members and they are a great group of friends. We feel so blessed!

4. Thankful that the yard is full of baby bunnies and not baby snakes. :)
(although I'm going to go buy some mothballs to scatter around because I've been told it will keep away both)

5. Thankful that my husband was off Monday. We really enjoyed having him home and going fishing with him.

6. Thankful that we can get our deposit back if the oil spill hits Gulf Shores and the location of the beach house we have reserved for August.

7. Thankful for air conditioning. I'm thinking it's going to get hot in Texas this summer.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

So much to be thankful for...

1. Thankful that the second round of antibiotics took care of my strep.

2. Thankful that none of the rest of my family got strep.

3. Thankful for my Thursday night Bible Study. We are doing Beth Moore's 'Living Beyond Yourself". It's a great study!

4. Thankful for my Thursday night Bible Study ladies! It's been so fun getting to know them all!

5. Thankful for the sunshine.

6. Thankful for a sweet violin teacher who is giving me a 10 minute lesson each week after my kids are done with theirs.

7. Thankful for my parents who came down to watch my kids so I could go to a physical therapy continuing education class. I had a great time away and the kids had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa.

8. Thankful for my husband! We've been married for 13 years this week!

9. Thankful for the willow blue KitchenAid Mixer that my husband gave me for an anniversary gift. Love it. Is loving an appliance wrong? Because if it is, I don't wanna be right.

10. Thankful that God is Good. All the time.

Happy Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

1. Thankful for fall!!! I love fall! I love jackets! And I love not being pregnant in the heat!

2. Thankful that baby girl seems to be healthy. They did an ultrasound last Friday to check how big she is (others were 9.9, 9.6, and 9.2) and she was 9lbs and 99.6% on height. No surprises there.

3. Thankful that she should be here by Monday!!!! I'm going to be induced on Moday the 28th. She may arrive before then, but either way, I know we'll have a baby girl here by Monday. I'm so ready.

4. Thankful my parents are heading down this weekend to help out! What a blessing. I think they are even planning on taking the kids on some field trips that coincide with what we are studying in home school.

5. Thankful my husband has 2 weeks of paternity leave!! How sweet is that?!? He'll take a week off when the baby arrives and then have another week after that at some point. He's promised he'll help out with the home school as needed.

6. Thankful that we have 34 days of school already done. We started early this year so we could take off a couple weeks if needed. The kids have already settled into a really good routine and enjoy the structure in the day. They may not want to take off. :)

7. Thankful that our credit card company is not making us pay for the charges from Spain on our card. Apparently someone has been having a great time in Spain. Wish it had been me.

8. Thankful we have a break from the rain. Don't get me wrong, I was thankful for the rain. But after a week of having the kids in the house we were all starting to lose our sanity. It wasn't pretty. It's so nice to be able to send them outside for their "fun breaks" again.

Well, that's all I've got for now. Hope you have a Thankful Thursday!!! Next Thursday I'll not be pregnant anymore!!!!! And my sweet baby girl will be here!!!!!! I am so ready!

Thankful Thursday

(on Friday)

Much to be Thankful for!

1. Thankful for VBS this week! The kids had a blast and learned so much. I LOVE the "Boomerang Express" Vacation Bible School Curriculum!

2. Thankful that VBS was only 4 days! It was great but I was a teacher for the 2nd grade and it was exhausting. There were 3 classes of 2nd grade and around 72 kids! They kept us busy. I think 4 days was enough. :)

3. Thankful for the beautiful flowers God created for our enjoyment! I planted this clematis early this spring and it has grown 3 ft and puts on a constant show of flowers. It makes me so happy!

4. Thankful that the snake that was living in the hose reel has not been seen for over a week. (have I mentioned that I really dislike snakes?)

5. Thankful for piano and violin recitals that went well. The kids had a good time and a good experience and that was what we were hoping for.

6. Thankful for a 7 year old who wants to be a helper to his daddy and mow the yard.
7. Thankful that my daylilies are blooming!!! I always worry just a little when we move that not all of them will come up the next year. But so far, so good!

8. Thankful my daughter's fine motor skills are good and that she is able to use scissors well.
9. Thankful that when she decided to give herself a haircut using her scissor skills, she only cut this much. (longest piece there is about 4 inches) (isn't that special?)(that turkey)
10. Thankful that the big storm with the funnel cloud passed over our house without any damage and that we were all safe in the closet under the stairway with 47 stuffed animals. Good times.

Hope you had a Thankful Thursday!!!

Thankful Thursday

It's been a busy week! So much to be thankful for!

1. We found out yesterday we are having a GIRL!!!!!

2. Ben and the kids got to come in and see the ultrasound and the baby looks perfect. 10 fingers, 10 toes, everything right where it should be. What a miracle!

3. They moved up my due date! Thankful for that! It is now October 3rd but probably late September. With my history of big babies (9.9, 9.6, 9.2) and the fact that this one measures at the 96th percentile, my OB said earlier would be better. Throw me in the briar patch!

4. My sister had her baby boy yesterday!!! My nephew was 9lbs 6oz. Her biggest baby. He was healthy and there were no complications. And he is adorable!!!

5. We had the AWANA award night yesterday. I am so thankful for the AWANA club! My kids have memorized so many Bible verses (which takes a lot of participation on the parent's part, but it is so worth it)

6. Thankful for all the rain and the cooler weather. I know it will get hot in Texas soon enough so I'm enjoying this weather while I can!

That's all I've got for now! Have a Thankful Thursday!!!

Thankful Thursday

1. Thankful we had such a wonderful vacation last week. It was nice to get away with the husband and the kids.

2. Thankful we didn't get sunburned or stung by jellyfish.

3. Thankful that even though we spent 2 1/2 days in San Antonio, we miraculously avoided the Swine Flu. (which is a whole other topic unto itself)

4. Thankful that SeaWorld wasn't crowded and that the day was nice and slightly overcast.

5.Thankful that we can feel the baby moving. My husband spent part of the evening last night with his hand on my stomach feeling the child doing flips.

6. Thankful school it almost finished.

7. Thankful that my Grandpa's surgery went well and that he is headed home today.

8. Thankful for my new dryer. It's not blue, and it's not a Samsung, and it didn't come with a matched washer, but it works well! And since I've somehow become dependant on this particular piece of machinery, I'm thankful that I once again have one that works.

9. Thankful for my husband who turns 39 this weekend!

Well that's all for now! Hope you have a Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

1. Thankful for good health. I've actually been having some health problems over the past several weeks. I've spent quality time with specialists and struggled to keep up with daily life. I'm finally feeling better and I must say that there is nothing like feeling bad for awhile to make you appreciate feeling good!

2. Thankful for flannel sheets. When it is cold, I adore my flannel sheets. And it's been cold!

3. Thankful for helpful children. There were several days when I wasn't feeling well that I spent most of the day laying down. My 7 year old made breakfast and lunch for everyone on those day. The kids also helped with extra chores around the house. It was truly a blessing.

4. Thankful for a helpful husband. I truly appreciate how helpful around the house my husband is. He jumps right in and helps me with the laundry, or the dishes or whatever else I'm behind on. He is such a servant and I am very grateful for him.

5. Thankful for a good vehicle. Between running the kids to swim lessons and violin lessons and going to Dr.s appointments I've spent a lot of time in the car the last few weeks. I'm thankful that it runs well, has a working heater, and that we don't have to walk or take the bus!

6. Thankful for good swim instructors. The kids have been taking swimming lessons and we have been so pleased with their instructors. They are very patient but also very thorough in what they teach. That has not always been the case in our experience with swim lessons.

7. Thankful for the rain. We've had lots of rain this week in Dallas. It's been cold, but we really needed the rain.

8. Thankful for Spring. I love spring. It makes me happy. I love the daffodils and tulips and my irises are getting ready to bloom. I think Spring is my favorite time of year.

That's all I've got for now. I hope you have a Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

1. Thankful for dear friends.
2. Thankful for my wonderfully thoughtful husband.
3. Thankful that he has a job.
4. Thankful that even though his hours aren't always the best, we have a house to live in and food to eat.
5. Thankful for sweet and patient violin and piano teachers.
6. Thankful that Pottery Barn catalogs are free.
7. Thankful that the weather is nice in Texas today.
8. Thankful that my nephew from Ethiopia is settling in well with his new mom and dad (my brother and sister-in-law) and that we are going to see them this weekend.
9. Thankful that my sister and nieces are coming down for a visit. Can't wait to see them either.
10. Thankful for the new running shoes my husband surprised me with. They are very comfy.
11. Thankful for the public library.
12. Thankful for all the friends I've recently gotten back in touch with through Facebook. Seriously. Who woulda thought?

That's all I've got for today. Have a Thankful Thursday! And Happy 5th Day of Valentine's!

Thankful Thursday

So, I had a brilliant idea. Okay, so maybe not so much. But I was up several times in the middle of the night with sick kids. By the time I got everyone all medicined up and tucked back in it was 4:00am.

And I couldn't go to sleep.

Nothing is more maddening than not being able to go back to sleep when you are absolutely exhausted. So after I prayed for everyone I could think of and after I had come up with a name a God with every letter of the alphabet, I started thinking about my Thankful Thursday post.

I decided it would be a brilliant idea to link all the things I am thankful for to previous posts.

Why?

I have absolutely no idea. But it honestly seemed brilliant at 4:30 this morning. And since I've got nothing else, here it is.......

1. Thankful that I didn't buy 500 pansies seeing as how almost half are now beheaded! (see how nice this thankful thursday thing is?? instead of being bitter that the rabbits are eating my pansies, I'm thankful that I didn't buy more. I just need to keep telling myself that.... I'm thankful I didn't buy more.... I'm thankful I didn't buy more....)

2. Thankful that it's too cold out for snakes. Although I'm sure I wouldn't have a pansy problem. I'm not for sure which is worse, a 4 1/2' long King Snake who eats rabbits, or rabbits who eat pansies.

3. Thankful life has not been this chaotic lately.

4. Thankful it is too cold for camping. Don't get me wrong, I love to camp. But I think I'm GOOD for a while!

5. Thankful my daylily collection is happily growing in Texas. Thanks for your help dad!

6. Thankful for my dad, whose birthday was this week! Happy Birthday dad!

7. Thankful we have found a violin teacher here that we absolutely adore! The first one that I had set up lessons with refused to teach my children on the size violins we already had (which our former teacher recommended), was priced too high, and expected the children to be virtuosos by the time they are 8. It just wasn't working for us. But we adore the teacher we have found. It really is a blessing.

8. I'm thankful for a thoughtful husband who always keeps me amused and who we all love and adore.

9. I'm thankful for all my friends and fellow mothers who are in the trenches everyday fighting the good fight!

10. Thankful for the snow we had last year in Georgia, because it's looking like there is a good chance we won't be having any in Texas!

Okay, that's all I've got. I'm off to take temperatures and wipe noses. Good times.

Have a Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

1. Thankful that I'm not going to have to buy snowboots for the kids this year. Apparently. They are currently outside in shorts and barefeet. I'm thinkin' we may not be having a white Christmas in Texas this year.

2. Thankful for faithful friends who provide much encouragement.

3. Thankful you don't have to pay-per-minute to be on Facebook. Because I've spent way too much time on there this week.

4. Thankful that my husband has a good job with a good company. We have had several friends and acquaintances in the last weeks and months who have lost jobs. It is something we do not take for granted.

5. Thankful that there is a guy coming by today who is supposed to repair or replace everything the moving company broke or lost.

6. Thankful that our God is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and that he knows what has been, what is, and what will be.

7. Thankful that this is the last week for Upwards basketball. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the program. But 2 nights a week of practice (one for each boy) and 2 games on Saturdays is getting a little old. I'm glad we did it and I'm glad it's over. I'm contemplating a non-game sport for the Spring. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Okay, that's all I've got for now.

Have a Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

1. I am thankful that fall is just around the corner.

2. I am thankful that I am currently not living in an area that is in a drought. I don't think I planted anything outside the whole time we were in Georgia because of the drought. Today, in Texas, I planted pansies!

3. I am thankful to have my husband home every night.

4. I am thankful for the local library. It is so wonderful to have access to so many books.

5. I am thankful for cool fall breezes and the fact that I can soon wear my favorite jacket!

6. I am thankful for great Christian programs for my kids to get involved in like AWANAs and UPWARDS.

7. I am thankful that there wasn't a quiz over the 2nd Presidential debate. I think I fell asleep.

8. I am thankful for all the new friends God has sent my way since moving to Texas. I have met 4 families that have just moved here in the last 1 - 5 months. Three of them also homeschool! And two of them are from Oklahoma.

9. I am thankful that my family has been in good health the last several months.

10. I am thankful that so far there have only been 3 kids on the block who have stopped by to sell something for their sports league or scout program. (But seriously, what do you do? Do you buy from everyone? I honestly don't want to buy a $16 pie or a $15 can of popcorn. How do you handle that?)

Okay, that's all for now. I hope you have a Thankful Thursday! There is so much to be thankful for.

Thankful Thursday

I was talking with Mrs. Troop this morning about the fact that I just don't feel like I can blog about things when I still have boxes to unpack and rooms to organize.

And quite honestly, there are many amusing things that have happened recently but none which I would consider to be appropriate for blog material.

I think keeping up with everything would have been a little easier had we not moved right as homeschool was starting and as we were gearing up for fall activities.

But at least I am back today for Thankful Thursday.

So here is my list.

1) I am so thankful for a husband who sets a godly example for our children. Ever since we have been married, my husband reads his Bible in the morning at breakfast. He has also read the Bible in it's entirety every year for as long as I have known him. Recently my 7 year old has been getting up when we get up, around 5:45am sometimes, and he sits at the table with his dad and reads his Bible also while I make them breakfast. He wants to know exactly what book and chapter his dad is reading. He wants to be like his dad so very much and I am so blessed that his dad has a heart for God.

2) I am thankful for the AWANA's program. This is our 3rd year to be involved in an AWANA's program and I am very excited about the motivation it gives my children to memorize verses. It has been a tremendous blessing to our family. My husband and I are both signed up to be AWANA helpers this year. It is so nice to have him in town on Wednesday nights!

3) I am thankful for the UPWARDs basketball program. It is a very non-competitive, Christian organization where the emphasis is to learn about Christ, learn about good sportsmanship, learn basketball skills, and have fun. Both boys are playing this year. We'll see how that goes.

4)I am thankful we live on a flat street. I know, seems odd, but in Georgia we lived on a hill and we didn't allow our children to ride their bikes on it because it was steep enough and busy enough that we didn't feel comfortable. We are now living on a flat, quiet street with a cul-de-sac at the end and they LOVE it.

5) I am thankful for friends who are encouragers!

6) I am thankful that the bunnies in the yard don't seem to have an affinity for daylilies. Although they have found that my newly purchased coneflower has leaves that make a tasty snack. My husband was concerned that they may suffer from lead poisoning if they eat too many. He may be correct.

7) I am thankful for the nice weather. I am really enjoying being able to go outside and not feel that I am going to melt into a puddle.

Okay, that's all I've got this week.

Have a Thankful Thursday! We have so much to be Thankful for!

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Y? Because we like you!

I honestly cannot believe it is already Thursday again!
Between still trying to get boxes unpacked and organized, and birthdays and guests and homeschooling, I've gotten a little swamped in blogland.
So for thankful Thursday, I am thankful for this little girl who just turned 4.

It started out that she wanted a Minnie Mouse birthday.
It ended up that she WAS Minnie Mouse for her birthday.
She ADORED the skirt that I made for her.
Just don't look too close.
I don't like sewing with patterns and I'm sure it shows.
But it WAS awfully cute. I made a circle skirt and she could twirl around in it.

This is her birthday cake.

I really wasn't for sure how to do her gloved hands so I tucked them behind her skirt. My daughter was just tickled that Minnie had on yellow shoes.

And yes, it looks a little odd in the right lower corner because I whited out her name.

Our tradition on birthdays is that when you wake up there is a birthday banner on your door and everyone says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!" to you all day long. You also get to pick your birthday dinner and theme. We always try to have balloons, cake and ice cream. The cakes are always homemade. We have so far only had one "birthday party" where we invited friends and that was for my son's 6th birthday. Up until we moved to Georgia, we always had enough family over for parties that we didn't invite friends. We try not to go overboard, but we also try to make their day special.

So what birthday traditions do you have?

Big parties with lots of friends or just family?

Do you feel pressured to hire pony rides and a band (which I SO would do if money were no object and my husband was agreeable and we had already saved up $200,000 for each child's college education) or are you a relaxed, low key birthday kind of family?

Well, have a Thankful Thursday and hopefully I'll make it back on before another whole week goes by!

Thankful Thursday

1. Thankful that after 10 months, I am finally living in the same state (and house) as my husband!

2. Thankful my daylilies made the trip from Georgia to Texas and they seem to be just fine.

3. Thankful that I already have a friend! Mrs. Troop told me about a friend of hers from her church who just moved to Texas about 5 months ago. She only lives 2 miles from my house! And she homeschools! They invited us over for supper and to swim in their neighborhood pool last Saturday and we had the best time!

4. Thankful that I've located the nearest Sonic, Hancock Fabric, Mardels, Super Walmart and Super Target. It just makes a girl feel better to know where a couple of the important stores are.

5. Thankful that I've gotten all the main rooms unpacked and somewhat organized.
6. Thankful that I have so many friendly new neighbors.

7. Thankful that my parents are coming down this weekend to help celebrate my daughter's birthday.

8. Thankful that even though we don't have any tall tress, that we have nice pretty green grass. My husband said it was Tiff and it is SO soft and thick! We love it!

9. Thankful that my nephew from Ethiopia might be here by Thanksgiving!

10. Thankful that I am so much closer (geographically) to family.

So that is all I've got for today. I hope you have a Thankful Thursday.

Thankful Thursday

1. I am thankful that my husband is coming home tonight and we will never be parted again. (I know, that probably isn't realistic, but just let me live the dream for just a moment) (but I'm still excited, he gets home late tonight and then he'll stay here until the movers come and then we'll all drive to Texas together in two cars and then we'll all be one happy family living under the same roof again)

2. I am thankful that we are moving to Texas next week. Yee Haw. (Emphasis on moving) (although I'm sure Texas will be nice) (I mean hot)

3. I am thankful that we already have our internet service set up to start the day we move into our new house. (just kidding) (kinda)

(and where was this butterfly when I was entering that pollinators contest?)

Hope you have a Thankful Thursday.

Thankful Thursday

One of the main reasons I do a Thankful Thursday is to regain my perspective.
This really puts things into perspective.
And this.
And this just breaks my heart.

I live in America. I am spoiled. I have food and shelter and all the earthly comforts I need. I have my very own computer for heaven's sake. Things are pretty chaotic and stressful right now but we are still so fortunate. Fortunate my husband has a job, we have a home, our children are well fed and are healthy.

Which is why I do a Thankful Thursday. Because when everything is stressful my tendency is to focus on myself and my problems and forget about the bigger picture. I get overwhelmed in the moment. It is so important that I keep my eyes fixed on Jesus and that I am thankful for every situation. So here is my list.

1) Thankful that when I got stung by a wasp this morning that it only swelled up to about a 4 inch circle instead of my whole leg. (I knew I would eventually figure out a way to be thankful for that!)

2) Thankful that even though my husband is going to be in New Orleans this weekend for a conference, that he might get to fly home for about 12 hours. Might. Hopefully.

3) Thankful that when the movers come in August 11th, that they are going to pack up everything. How great is that?

4) Thankful that my kids are in good health.

5) Thankful that there were no cavities when we went to the dentist yesterday.

6) Thankful for all the great friends I've made in my year and a half in Georgia.

7) Thankful that in less than a month we will be living under the same roof as my husband. (we are all very excited about this) (the kids cry every Sunday when he leaves)

8) Thankful that we only have to drive to Texas instead of California or the state of Washington... or Canada..... . (can you tell that I'm dreading the trip to Texas?) (it's a long, ole, trip)

9) Thankful that I have a Savior in Jesus Christ.

10)I am thankful that my God is the everlasting God who is the creator of the heavens and the earth. That he is all powerful and almighty.

Isaiah 40:28 - 31
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Have a Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

1 Thessalonians 5:18
Be joyful always;
pray continually;
give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you in
Christ Jesus.

It's so very easy to be thankful when everything is going my way. When birds are tying ribbons in my hair and singing sweetly as I go about my daily life.

It's when things are difficult and circumstances are beyond my control that I find myself falling into the pit of grumbling and unthankfulness. I find myself starting to feel like things are unfair and I've drawn the short straw. Been sent down the river. Dealt a bad hand. Between a rock and a hard place. Close but no cigar. Flash in the pan. When it rains it pours. (you get the idea)

I've avoided doing a Thankful Thursday post because I've felt more discouraged than thankful.

I'm not feeling well physically. Circumstances have not turned out like I anticipated or hoped for. And I'm just exhausted in general. Moving to a new state (yet again) seems daunting. And 9 months of living in Georgia with our 3 kids while my husband works in Texas has been more difficult than I could have ever imagined.

And yet, in Thessalonians, it didn't say.... be joyful only when things are going your way....... and pray continually because everything will work out just how you planned....... and give thanks only once you have achieved your happy place and your world is at peace.

It says give thanks in all circumstances....... so here it goes.

1) Thankful for the sport court down the street. The kids and I went down there yesterday and played ball. It was the Ladybugs versus the Sharks. The kids even dressed up in basketball outfits to go. We had a great time.

2) Thankful that even though we didn't sell our house and that we ended up taking the company buyout (and lost money) that we still had the option of a company buyout. I've been so focused on the fact that we aren't getting out of the house what we have in it, that I've lost the gratefulness that the company is buying our house and that we can go ahead and move to Texas.

3) Thankful that we found a house in Texas that will work for our family.

4) Thankful that in less than a month we will be living under the same roof as our daddy.

5) Thankful that we will only be 4 hours away from my parents.

6) Thankful that the company is packing us up and that I don't have to do that all alone. Or worse, with the help of the kids. Because I am actually never alone. Lonely sometimes... but never alone.

7) Thankful that the kids are all in good health.

8) Thankful for the rain.

9) Thankful for the VBS camp the kids went to last week.

10) Thankful that my husband will be home for the weekend!
